Rebecca & Timothy

I first met this family when designing Bar Mitzvah invitations for the bride’s brothers, and I was honored when they reached out again for her wedding. They were looking for custom Philadelphia wedding invitations that could incorporate the personal touches they couldn’t find in ready-made designs. We began with a meaningful element: the groom’s grandfather had created a piece of calligraphy featuring their names, and I wove that heirloom artwork into the invitation design. To highlight the city where they were marrying, we added a gold-foil Philadelphia skyline, and carried another venue detail into the suite: the iconic gold stars that line the ceiling at One Broad Street. Those stars appeared on the details card and became the first thing guests saw when opening the invitation.

Personal touches continued throughout their wedding day. Guests were greeted at cocktail hour with a framed illustration of the couple’s dog, Buzz, along with custom cocktail napkins featuring his portrait and the phrase “Get Your Buzz.” Their escort cards were forest-green folded cards with names printed on vellum and finished with wax seals. At the reception, each place setting included a personalized bookmark — a keepsake printed with the same gold stars and finished with a gold tassel and individually foiled names. It was a celebration filled with heart, personality, and thoughtful custom touches that made their Philadelphia wedding truly one of a kind.
